Christmas at the Grand Hotel

There's something magical about Marriott's Grand Hotel and Resort in Point Clear. Every detail, inside and out, receives a festive touch.  At night, these majestic oak trees are lit with thousand of lights.  Cars often form a line as they make their way around the lake to see the decorations.

Locals flock there during Christmas for breakfast with Santa and Sunday Brunch.
The Christmas Tree in the Lobby is always a beautiful spot for family photographs, and even though it was rather warm the day we were there, the staff thoughtfully had a fire burning in the giant fireplace to give us that cozy Christmas feeling!

The staircase is draped with greenery.

Even the boats in the harbor are in the Christmas spirit!

My photos of the massive Gingerbread house didn't turn out so great, but the creation takes up most of the dining room and is a replica of the entire resort!  You'll just have to go see it yourself.

Or maybe now I have an excuse to return!

Oh, I wish I could have Christmas brunch at the Grand Hotel! It's the most gorgeous setting and delicious spread anywhere. What happens to the gingerbread house after the holidays?
