|Our family just loves a good bowl game! (And yellow shirts).|
Is there a Bowl Game Monday night?
If you live here in Alabama, it's the only thing on Monday night.
No homework for the kids, businesses closing early and parties everywhere to cheer for the University of Alabama in the BCS National Championship Bowl Game against the University of Notre Dame.
Need a good game night snack? Try this Coca-Cola Barbecue Sauce on your favorite meat recipe. Coca-Cola's colors are red and white, just like the Crimson Tide, so it's Roll-Tide approved.
Coca-Cola BBQ Sauce
2 T vegetable oil
3T diced hot peppers, such as jalapeno
2-3 cloves of chopped garlic
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/4 cup chicken stock
1 cup orange juice
3 cups ketchup
1T liquid smoke.
1/2 cup molasses
1/4 cup Coca-Cola
1/2 cup brown sugar
1t garlic salt
Sautee in oil the peppers, garlic and onions until soft. Add other ingredients, simmer until heated through. Add wings or other meat and continue to simmer on low for 20 minutes.
