Did I ever mention that we like to plant flowers in Fairhope?
These pink tulips are found in a massive bed on the bluff, overlooking Mobile Bay. You can see them as you drive south on South Mobile Street.
Years ago, the tulips planted in this spot were red. I planned on taking my son, who was a toddler at the time, to pose in front of the flowers, wearing his little red sport coat and red bow tie. Unfortunately, it rained that day. When I thought of it the next day, he was napping. The day after that, we had to go to the store.
The next year, he had outgrown the sport coat.
I never got the photo I wanted.
And this time of year, when the tulips reappear, I'm reminded of what a great photo it would have been.
So Moms, get your children dressed up, and make your way to the tulip patch before they are gone. The flowers, that is . . . but then again, the children too.

Time does seem to get away from me too.
Gorgeous...tulips are my favorite!
I wish I were close enough to take some pictures there!
You can't help but smile at a field of tulips!
I bought a handful today ~ so I have a smiling bunch of tulips on my kitchen counter.
A great photo I think! I love pink tulips, so pretty. We are weeks and weeks away from tulips in Michigan. Have a wonderful week, Laura

Oh my, that is really fabulous! I saw tulips in person only twice yet, the first time i saw it in Sweden growing as weeds under some trees i really took the chance for a souvenir shot. They don't grow in the tropics.
What a beautiful field of tulips! I think Fairhope is one of the most charming towns I have ever been in.
So true!
Children grow fast and seasons too change fast!
In a blink of an eye the children are all grown up for sure. Those tulips are really pretty and so many planted all together. Nicely done. Get the picture without being all dressed up.

Yes, I finally learned this lesson now that I am a grandmother:) I don't let a precious moment past without capturing it now.
I drove through your area twice and love it! So pretty. What a beautiful patch of tulips too. I am your newest follower. Stop by for a visit sometime when you have a chance.
Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
Gorgeous tulips! And, children grow up way too fast. Thank you for sharing this at the Make it Pretty Monday party at The Dedicated House. Hope to see your prettiness again on Monday. Toodles, Kathryn @TheDedicatedHouse
Life moves too quickly so it's good to pause and enjoy the little moments. The tulips are gorgeous!
The flowers are beautiful! I absolutely agree with you! My children, quadruplets, are 24. I swear that I just put them on the bus to kindergarten yesterday.
Love,
Terry
If I buy a bunch of tulips in February, spring seems to be closer. Now it's the time to do it. Thanks for reminding me. Regula
