Top 10 Southern Valentine Couples

Elvis and Pricilla
Gladys warned her Mississippi son not to marry
a girl born in Brooklyn, New York.
But they sure did look good together.

Johnny and June Carter Cash
Johnny died four months after June, some say of a broken heart.

Andy Taylor and Ellie
I know, Helen was his eventual girl, but I always liked Ellie best.
What happened to her?

President Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter
Politics aside, they win best smiles.

Hank and Peggy Hill
This Texas Couple wins for best theme song.

Alabama Quarterback AJ McCarron and Auburn grad Katherine Webb
Can it last through the Iron Bowl?

Speaking of Alabama dream teams, how about
Pretty cute.

Barney and Thelma Lou
In the reunion special, she had married someone else.
Barney learned the wise old saying,
"If you snooze, you loose."

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill
She's from Ridgeland, Mississippi, and he's from Delhi, Louisiana.
That's a whole lot'ta grits goin' on!

And everyone's favorite dysfunctional Southern couple,
Scarlett and Rhett

Crazy drama aside, I still vote for Scarlett and Rhett.

Who gets your vote for the dreamiest Southern couple?

Great list but Rhett and Scarlett will always be at the top of my list!

Rhett and Scarlett of course lovey. Faith Hill looked fabulous at the Grammy's the other night.

Loved your couples! Mine has to be Johnny and June Carter Cash as they were customers of ours for years in our garden center. My husband delivered their large Christmas tree to their house every year. Miss June was a darling. John was more silent but he was polite and always gave her plenty of time to decide on the tree or a new rosebush.

I'd never heard this song before. A beautiful voice!

Happy Valentine's Day!

What a cute post! Thank you for joining Home Sweet Home! I was so surprised to see my blog mentioned at the bottom of the post. I would have a hard time deciding on this list. I also would include Loretta Lynn and Dolittle Lynn!

Scarlett & Rhett will always have a special place in my heart but I also like the "we have been thru the trenches together and are still sweethearts" look of Governor Robert & Mrs. Dianne Bentley.

I vote for Johnny and June Carter Cash. They were amazingly talented and incredibly devoted to one another.

Thanks again for joining in this week!
